Jim Page

Democratic Candidate
107th District
Michigan House of Representatives

I am running for the 107th District Michigan House of Representative because of current lack of positive leadership.

My goal is to provide the people in our district a better, brighter future.  I will work hard to improve our educa

tional system, to strengthen our economy, and to safeguard our environment.

I retired from the Sault Area Public Schools in 2010 where I spent most of my twenty-eight year teaching career as a math and computer instructor at the middle school level.  I served two terms as president of the Sault Education Association where I worked with management and teachers to create the best possible learning environment for our district’s children, and was awarded the Sault Area Public School’s Employee of the Year award in 2006.

After retiring

from public education I’ve worked as a sales associate at Kmart for four years.  After Kmart closed I have worked as a Salvage/DSD Receiver at Meijer.  I was a member of UFCW 951union and served as a steward for the store.

I served our Nation in the military for six years, attaining the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California, Headquarters Marine Corps in Washington, D.C., and Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mt. Clemens, MI.

I’m an avid sportsman and hold membership in the Michigan United Conservation Club, Ducks Unlimited, and Trout Unlimited.

I’m a member of the Serra Club, and the treasurer of the Three Lakes Group.  I understand the importance of protecting our natural resources.   I want to keep Michigan a special place to live, work, and raise our families.
